Frequently Asked Questions

What is an irrigation audit?

An irrigation audit is the best way to evaluate an irrigation system.  From system performance, system design, water usage, plant selection, and soils; an irrigation audit takes a deep look at the plant-water-soil relationship.  We use distribution uniformity tests, irrigation efficiency, and water usage reports to make informed decisions and develop plans for water efficient irrigation.

Did you know many public agencies now have Water Efficient Landscape worksheets?

Most of these worksheets need to be filled out by a certified irrigation auditor to verify the irrigation system is not wasting water and is installed to reflect the submitted landscape plans.  This is often a requirement for new construction projects.  This is also a great way to evaluate existing irrigation systems for water use efficiency.

Are you a certified landscape irrigation auditor?

Yes.  I am a certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) and Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL).  These certifications qualify us to perform audits required by public agencies and water efficient landscaping ordinances.

Will you work with existing landscape maintenance workers?

Yes.  We often receive requests from homeowners that their gardener perform the work we recommend.  Bullseye Irrigation Services will work with existing landscape maintenance, irrigation managers, homeowners, and others to perform audits, educate, train, and share all things related to develop a property specific plan.

Are you a landscape contractor?

No.  However, we do perform simple repairs, adjustments, and retrofits.

How much do you charge?

Site Visit (System Evaluation): $200 (1-2 hours)

Irrigation Audit (Water Usage Reports and Consultation):     $ 300 up to six valves

                                                                                          $ special pricing for more

                                              $ special pricing for more

What’s the difference between a site visit and an irrigation audit?

Both services provide consulting through evaluating irrigation practices, maintenance, design, etc. to develop site specific plans to minimize water waste and maximize efficient irrigation.

Irrigation Audits have formal procedures to collect data and produce reports to further understand the irrigation system and make more informed decisions.
